What kind of development environment is AIR?
AIR is built in Object Oriented Pascal, and integrates many OpenSource components. The use of OOP makes AIR very easy to read, understand, maintain and manage (code example). This gives AIR an advantage of being able to be utilized for rapid development by very small teams or even single individuals. Environment support for Delphi with FreePascal support coming soon. Currently runs on Windows, with upcoming support for Mac and Linux.
What are AIR's dependencies?
AIR is built upon excellent OpenSource and FreeWare libraries. Most of these are not distributed directly with AIR, you can install them yourself. Some are indirectly dependant, so you may optionally install them. These libraries are not modified from their original builds, AIR works on top of them, so you may substitute them with different versions, or other libraries if need be.
